I am highly skilled and experienced in performing hypnotherapy. I completed my training with Dr Joe Keaney, one of the most experienced and respected ethical practitioners of hypnotherapy in Ireland and Director of the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (ICHP).

Before booking a hypnotherapy session, I arrange a free telephone consultation, where we discuss the issue you wish to work on. If you decide to proceed, we schedule an appointment. I send you an intake form to complete in advance of your first session. During each session, while sitting comfortably in a chair I guide you into a hypnotic trance, which just feels like deep relaxation. While you are in trance, I use various hypnotherapy techniques that have been proven to help with your particular issue. At the end of the session, I perform trance termination, whereby you are guided back to full alertness.

How many sessions will I need?

Depending on the complexity of the issue, to achieve lasting results, most people generally require between four and ten sessions.

Can everyone be hypnotised?

Hypnosis requires the co-operation of the client. It is possible to hypnotise anyone who goes along with the hypnotherapist’s suggestions. Conversely, it is impossible to hypnotise anyone who does not wish to participate.

Am I asleep during hypnosis?

Hypnosis is not the same as sleep. You will still be aware of your surroundings. If something requires your urgent attention during hypnosis, you will spontaneously return to full alertness.

Can I be made to say or do something while hypnotised that I would otherwise find objectionable?

No! You remain in full control at all times during hypnosis, and your subconscious mind will not go along with any suggestions that you disagree with.
